Aleksi’s Baptism and May and June Birthdays

On the morning of Aleksi’s baptism, the boys ran the Capital Classic a race the runs from the Train Depot to the Capital building.  The boys had a great time, ran the mile race in about 11:30, and got finisher medals.  They think the race is okay and love the snacks and fun afterwards…

After the baptism we headed back to our house to have dinner and celebrate Aleksi and Nikolai’s birthdays…

I did two different cakes…Nikolai wanted German chocolate cake with coconut frosting and Aleksi wanted just chocolate frosting…

 

Later Grandpa Norm and Grandma Jackie came over to give the boys their gifts…new clothes and Legos…what more could two boys want?

 

Class Campout for Nikolai and Jay

Nikolai’s class studied the Oregon Trail this year and celebrated with a campout in Oregon.  They went to museums, listened the ranger, played games, and even did a little school work.

A Dance Performance and Mother’s Day

 

Anser had their Primacy of Self Discovery performance at the Egyptian Theater this year.  Nikolai was old enough to take one of the classes that performed.  He chose hip-hop and had a great time.  They worked really hard and did a great job on their dance.

 

 

AND all my boys helped me have a great mother’s day…Christmas packages and all…

Aleksi wrote me a poem in school…

Aleksi Turns 8

Aleksi had his 8th birthday on May 7th.  We did lasagna for dinner and then opened gifts.  Notice the great birthday banner peaking out of the background.  My sister Tammy made these for each of us for Sister’s Day last year…we love it Tam…thanks!
